deadwood season 3 episode 2

Some of the kidney stone storyline was no doubt fueled by David Milch’s own misadventures in the world of medicine. To sideline what’s become the show’s central character – and I would argue, even more than Seth Bullock at this point, the closest this morally ambiguous world has to a hero – for an entire hour this early in the season is a pretty bold move. It’s a position Al will stay in for nearly half the episode – until a panicked Jewel convinces an anguished Dan to kick the door in – and what little we see and hear of him in the second half involves him screaming in agony as Doc Cochran tries to relieve the problem. We begin “New Money” in Al Swearengen’s office – specifically, on the floor of that office, where Al lies shivering, in agony, unable to move due to the pain of his kidney stone, and too proud to call for help whenever anyone stands outside the locked door. This is the newbie-safe version click here for the veteran-friendly one.Ī review of episode 3, “New Money,” coming up just as soon as we make the trout pay for his slothful ways…

DEADWOOD SEASON 3 EPISODE 2 SERIES

The key is to make sure the kids know that playing with slime or silly putty has a set of rules. We’re into week 2 of our summer trip back through David Milch’s epic revisionist Western “Deadwood.” As always with this project, we’re going to have two parallel discussions going at once: identical reviews, but one where the comments section is just for people who are new to the series and don’t want to be spoiled on anything past the events of the episode being discussed, and one for people who know “Deadwood” backwards and forwards, and want to be able to discuss it all at once. Look no matter how many times you yell “we are never getting slime or silly putty again” you know that eventually the kids will break you down or one of the grandparents will buy it! Let the carpet air dry and the only stain will be the one in your memory of the mess your kid made when they were playing with slime. You can then use some hot water to clean any remaining cleaning solution off the carpet. Once you get rid of that horrible slime stain as well as all the slime that your child has. If the stain is still there, repeat the process. If you have left your solution of choice on there long enough, you should not even need to use much elbow grease to get the stain off. Use an old towel to them wipe away the slime and the stain should come away with it. Let the solution sit on the slime for at least 15 minutes. These can be sprayed onto the slime and you do not have to worry about them wrecking your carpet. The easiest one to use is something like rubbing alcohol or distilled white vinegar and WD-40. But if you are looking for a less intensive way try something like vinegar, goo remover, citrus solvent, rubbing alcohol, and WD-40. Elbow grease and soap have proven to be effective. There are a few different things that you can use to get rid of the stain the slime has left. Just make sure that the slime is dry first. If the slime is dry, you can then use a vacuum, more powerful vacuums can rip the slime right out of the carpet, which I am not going to lie is very satisfying when it happens. This slime is not actually touching the carpet and if you try to wipe it away, you will make an even bigger stain.

STOP! Do not do this! Before you do anything, get a spoon and scrape off the excess slime that is sitting on top. The first reaction is to grab a baby wipe or a wet towel and start scrubbing with Hulk-like strength. It looks gross, smells gross, feels gross and it is even worse when there is a big stain of it in the middle of your living room carpet.
